Seni Pedang Sukma Kencana uses the customised sword known as the jenawi sukma as its main weapon. The sword is an innovation of the original jenawi, and was developed by Teungku Nara. The art focuses on using the flow and movement of the enemy to counter their attack in a fluid movement.

Most of the material are in Malay, but we are developing an English-based system for international students. In 2023, we published the first volume of our swordsmanship manual, entitled Inilah Kitab: Seni Pedang Sukma Kencana.

Students are not just taught swordsmanship skills, but also the adat and adab - traditions and etiquettes - of a swordsman. 

There are no fancy moves in Seni Sukma Kencana. Practitioners do not jump about or roll around on the ground, but rather advance in intuitive and concise movements. Deflect and neutralize is the Way.
